As a practitioner with more than 18 years experience litigating for both employers and employees, Arnab Banerjee is a capable mediator, specializing in employment disputes — including wage and hour claims (class, PAGA, and individual), discrimination, retaliation, wrongful termination, harassment, failure to accommodate, and many others. Arnab has mediated numerous cases and is currently a volunteer mediator for Resolve Law LA, a Los Angeles County Superior Court program that mediates employment law and personal injury cases.
Unlike many mediators who are former judges or full-time neutrals removed from the day-to-day practice of law, Arnab remains an active litigator with experience handling cases from inception through trial. That perspective enables him to understand the practical realities facing lawyers and clients on both sides, identify the strengths and weaknesses of each case, and evaluate the true costs, risks, and settlement value of employment disputes in California.
Arnab began his legal career at Latham & Watkins, LLP — one of the largest law firms in the world. Arnab represented companies and individuals in discrimination, sexual harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, and wage and hour cases.
Arnab later joined one of California’s largest plaintiffs’ employment law firms. There he led one of the firm’s litigation teams where he specialized in complex employment cases, including class actions and cases under the Private Attorneys General Act (PAGA). He is now the managing attorney at Banner Law Group representing individual employees.
Having worked on both sides of employment disputes and in firms of all sizes, Arnab brings a rare, balanced perspective that allows him to quickly connect with attorneys and clients, cut through impasse, and guide cases to resolution.
Arnab graduated from the University of Southern California Gould School of Law, where he was an editor on the Interdisciplinary Law Journal. During law school he interned for the Department of Homeland Security. He received his undergraduate degrees from the University of California, Irvine, where he graduated cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa.
Arnab was selected as a Super Lawyer “Rising Star” in 2016 and 2017, and was selected as a Super Lawyer every year from 2020 through 2026.
